Community Involvement

Bailey Cavalieri LLC is proud of its firm culture of actively supporting and participating in the community in which we work.  Our firm as a group and our attorneys, paralegals, and staff as individuals have significant involvement in charitable, civic, educational, and pro bono activities and organizations designed to enrich the lives of others in our community.  We are honored to serve and give back to our community.

Charitable Support

As a firm, we annually support The United Way with virtually 100% firm-wide participation.  In 2006, our firm received The United Way's Leadership Giving Award of Excellence.  We also participate as a firm in the Meals-on-Wheels program sponsored by LifeCare Alliance, through which we deliver meals to the elderly and disabled, and in the Operation Feed campaign sponsored by The MidOhio Foodbank, through which we raise funds and canned goods to help stock the shelves of local food pantries.  Our firm's Holiday Giving Projects vary from year to year and have included "adopting" a family in need, donating clothing and blankets to various charitable organizations for distribution to those in need, and food drives for local food pantries.

Our attorneys, paralegals, and staff also devote their time and resources to many organizations that serve our community, including among others Big Brothers Big Sisters, Metro Parks, Buckeye Boys Ranch, YMCA, YWCA, American Red Cross, Columbus Zoo, Salvation Army, WOSU, and various food pantries.

Many of our attorneys, paralegals, and staff are also involved in organizations designed to raise funds for and awareness of important health issues.  We participate in the Race for the Cure, Lee National Denim Day, the Multiple Sclerosis Walk, and the Muscular Dystrophy Lockup.  We have raised funds for the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Association, and the Arthritis Foundation.

Pro Bono Services

Our attorneys devote many hours each year to providing pro bono legal services to those in need through participation in the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and the Ohio State Legal Services Association.  Our pro bono efforts include the Low Income Taxpayer Initiative, through which we assist low-income taxpayers in resolving IRS claims; the Low Income Tenants Advocacy Project, through which we represent tenants who are being evicted; and the InterFaith Legal Clinic, through which we counsel low income families.

Our attorneys also support educational opportunities for students by serving as "judges" at mock oral arguments held by local law schools and by participating in educational outreach programs through local and state bar associations.

As we give back to our community, we feel a strong sense of pride in the contributions we make and the lives we enrich through our firm-wide and individual efforts.
